Why Use an Airated Bottom Drain Oxygen is a vital componant of a healthy pond, not only does an aerated bottom drain add much need oxygen into the pond, they can also make the drain up to 30% more efficient in pulling the solid waste into the drain. If you are using the pupose built Bottom Drain you will notice from the picture they have a seperate airline ducting connection. An economy aerated bottom drain, This consists of an injection moulded sump (with additional flange supplied for installation into liner pond).
