I would advise treating raised scales as soon as you see them, they can be signs of a more serious problem such as an Ulcer, or simply some isolated area of damage caused by a scratch. Secondary infections following a parasite infestation is also possible. TREATMENT Treat topically with a suitable antibacterial solution directly onto the damaged area, often simply spraying a antibacterial solution to the affected area will do the trick.
