Early signs of Ulcers can be raised scales, red spots and inflammation. Unfortunately these signs are often missed and the wound develops into an open ulcer.

TREATMENT

Treat topically with suitable antibacterial solution directly onto the damaged area,larger fish will need to be anesthetized. It may also help to add salt at half oz per gallon, you may also add a water treatment such as acriflavin or Sabbactisun.Often ulcers will need antibiotics as prescribed by a Vet in conjunction with the above.
